    Biomass Group

    Mr. Chen Yong (Senior Research Fellow, Director of Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, Chinese Academy of Sciences) presided the first half of Biomass Group.
    Prof. Pan Yuan(Member of China Academy of Engineering, Professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, member of Chinese Expert Committee of ITER Fusion Project)presided the second half of Solar, Wind and Energy Efficiency Group.

     

     

    Dr. Taysaeva Valentina ,Director, Centre of Solar Energy(Bury at State Academy of Agricultural, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Russia) gave a presentation entitled "The Elaboration of Energy Efficient Solar Greenhouse". She gave technical assessment of the project, presented calculation data of thermal power production net cost by solar greenhouse and the greenhouse using traditional fuel (coal), and discussed annual technical and economic benefit of the Solar Greenhouse and its consumer market.

    Mr. Kong Weiming (Beijing Creatvow Sci-Tech Invent Co., Ltd., China) spoke on two inventions. The first one, named Modular Intelligence Ecology Environmental Protection Housing, belongs to one kind of new monomer housing. It has realized the housing completely modulation, the standardized factory assembly line processing production. It may realize the housing itself energy zero supply, the housing security, defending against riots, and preventing from fire by the entire automatic controller. Simultaneously this may largely reduce the cost of the production and the construction.
    He discussed its function and application domain, competitor's condition, and analyzed its future market. Mr. Kong also proposed a Solar Energy Spatial Light Bending Down Generating System, a kind of generating system that can enter and hang in the outer space which merit compound material technology,the electricity generation technology, the photoelectric control technology, the spatial tracking sunlight technology, the fuel cell technology and so on.

    Professor Dongsheng ZHU(South China University of Technology) presented a summary on "The High Efficiency Domestic Heat Pump Water Heater with Heat Storage", introducing this new style water heater with phase change materials in heat storage box. It is designed into an energy-efficient way to provide heating in many applications, a useful way to energy conservation and can adjust the contradiction of the imbalance of the energy distribution.

    Prof. Antonio Carlos da Cruz(Plasma Laboratory, Mechanics and Electricity Division, Institute for Technological Research, IPT, Sao Paulo,Brazil) presented on a Plasma Heated Aluminum Recycling Furnace and Energy Efficiency. He discussed the disadvantages of primary aluminum production including big energy consumption, polluting gases emission and production of residue. Then he introduced the Rotary Plasma Furnace, its recycling process, the utilization of the residual dross, improvement in metal recovery efficiency, and the progress of the experiment.

    Mingsheng, Liu ,Ph.D., P. E., NEBRASKA University, U.S.A. spoke on the Continuous Commissioning (CC) Technology For Building Energy Efficiency. His presentation, entitled "Continuous Commissioning (CC)--An Innovative Technology to Reduce Building Energy Consumption by 25%" concluded the innovations, patented technologies, performance of 300 demonstration projects and the metered energy savings of the technology, its significance in reducing building energy consumption and Increasing the HVAC system life span, and its impacts on construction cost, energy and environment. Finally he described the technology transfer situation.

    Xu Jianzhong (Member of China Academy of Science(CAS), Director of Science and Technology Department of CAS) spoke on Scientific Way of Energy Consumption and Renewable Energy Utilization. He analyzed the importance of energy management in China and existing problems, gave suggestions on scientific way of energy consumption and energy efficiency, while discussed the prospects of utilizing renewable resource in China.
