Mr. Gao Ziming, Director of UNIDO-ITPC, Board Chairman of SEC presided the Opening Ceremony.

Mr. Vladimir Kozharnovich, Programme Manager of UNIDO International Technology Centres gave the Opening Address, in which he expressed the delight of holding this conference in Shenzhen, the expectation that it will demonstrate and promote the application of renewable energy technology into market, and the will to cooperate more closely with local government to this aim.

Mr. Zhang Si Ping, Deputy Major of Shenzhen Municipality gave an address in representative of local government. He said China has attached great importance to renewable energy utilization. He gave approbation to the effort of ITPC in introducing and industrialization of new energy technology, and wished the meeting a constructive one.

In the opening ceremony, UNIDO, Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, Chinese Academy of Sciences (GIEC CAS) and ITPC subscripted the Cooperation Agreement on Long-term Partnership for BlueSky Award Selection.
