American Consulate General (Guangzhou) Officer visits ITPC
Commercial specialist Ms. Diana Liu visited ITPC on 20th August, meeting Dr. Yu Yuanqi – deputy director of the centre regarding to issues such as possible collaboration in the area of renewable energy and clean technology promotion between the two organizations.
Ms. Liu is a commercial specialist from the American Consulate General in Guangzhou and works on foreign investment of American companies and exportation of technologies to China. Dr. Yu introduced to Ms. Liu the function ITPC as well as the recent projects accomplished for the past five years. As an innovative output and successful model from the collaboration between UNIDO, the Chinese government and the private sector and the centre plays an important role in new energy promotion internationally. Ms. Liu expressed the willingness of further sharing of resources between ITPC and the Consulate General. An agreement of potential cooperation at the coming China High Tech Fair in Shenzhen has been reached.
Since 2001, ITPC works as a platform for Shenzhen to take part in the global energy and environment industry development and is the only UNIDO technology centre exclusively on energy and environmental technologies.
